I love this! Had been wondering what the Christina Perri song was that we danced to in class. Thank you for publishing this list!

I just stumbled upon this blog after Googling “In the Upper Room Bomb Squad.” LOVE IT. Your writing is skilled, and your perspective is intelligent yet passionate. May I humbly recommend Steven Mitchell’s music for ballet class? He’s worked for Boston Ballet, Ballet Academy East, School of American Ballet, New York City Ballet, Broadway Dance Center, STEPS on Broadway, American Ballet Theatre, American Academy of Ballet, Joffrey Ballet School (New York), Ballet Contemporaneo de Caracas (VZ), Compania Nacional de Danza (MX), Netherlands Dance Theater, HET National Ballet – he gets around. More to the point, he’s good. He’s also witty (ABBA’s “Mamma Mia” for frappes, for example). Like you, he’s worthy of attention.

Thanks for the tip! I couldn’t find him on iTunes so will have to look for the CD’s.
Rudy Apffel is also very good.
And Michael Cherry, who currently plays for ABT in New York.
